You knew me as a child growing up, but as I grew older we no longer spoke or even were in each others company. You say you know me, but the truth is; you knew me. What I am talking about is when I was of the world you knew but now that I am walking and professing Christ you don't know me. As I became a new creature in Christ old things have passed away, but you were not apart of my transformation so you wouldn't understand my phrase my past is all under the blood. I have no desire to go back to my old ways; to do that the bible says it is like unto a dog going back for its own vomit.
Even with that you can not see my change for you haven't changed. You say you are doing the best you can with what you got physically. While my struggle is spiritual and my warfare is mighty through God.
Okay Let me help you with the difference between me and you.
Your life may consist of drinking to get totally drunk while working a job and cussing out everyone you come in contact with. You'll even get into a physical fight or shouting match with same like minded people. You'll never see the error in your ways without see the wrong in the reactions of someone else. You may even pretend to be in a church Sunday morning and maybe through out the week. No prayer life except for praying over your food and praying before you lay in your bed. When you awake with complaints and grunts. Maybe thanking God for someone blessing you with an extra dollar or even just telling the person thank you; if your having a bad day throwing the dollar back with a few selected choice words.
My life does consist of every waking giving God the praise and thanking Him for another day, praying, praising and worshiping my God all the day long even while I work at my job. I do not engage in physical conflict nor a shouting match, but I will pray for my adversary and even walk away unharmed. I can be found in church Sunday school and morning and evening worship. and through out the week. I thank God for another day and for waking me up to see another day. I start my day out with praying, praising and worshipping God before I leave my bedroom to start my day, and I pray before I eat and when I get home from my work I pray and before I go to bed I pray and before I close my eyes I pray. I thank God for every blessing he sends my way even when I am having a bad day.
